Today Becca spoke about peace.  She talked about the UN and the Charter that set hopes for world peace.  It hasn't worked out as promised, but even as the security council is mired in politics, its better to have a grudge talked to death than to go to war over it.

We also read the entire "War Prayer" by Mark Twain.  It is a thoughtful rendition of remembering that both sides pray to god for victory, which necessarily means you are praying for the suffering of humans on the other side of the conflict.  Twain was criticized heavily by those who thought it was un-American.  But Lincoln's second inaugural address, which raises that same point.

We had a lively discussion afterward.  Come join in the discussion.
